Marietta, GA : Man killed in fatal crash on Saturday, 6th August,2016

Cobb police are investigating a fatal wreck that killed an Acworth man Saturday afternoon.

James Butler, 24, was traveling eastbound on Booth Road at about 2:15 p.m. in a maroon 1994 Honda Civic when he turned left onto South Cobb Drive and collided with a white 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer traveling southbound, according to Cobb police.Butler was transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died at the hospital, police said.

Shawna Conyers, a 23-year-old from Norwich, Connecticut, was a passenger with Butler and was also taken to Kennestone Hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to police. Her current status was not released.The driver of the Trailblazer Sara Cancinos, 34, and passenger Angelino Ascon, 26, both of Marietta, were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
