Carthage, MO : Two Carthage boys severely injured in ATV accident southeast of Jasper on Sunday, September 25, 2016

Two Carthage boys are recovering after an ATV accident Sept. 25 southeast of Jasper.

Tanner Kahl, 11, and Ethan Brouillard, 7, were riding on a four-wheeler Sunday morning when a pick-up struck with them from behind on Baseline Road. The boys were ejected from the four-wheeler and the driver of the pick-up, Craig Spencer, 44, of Liberal, was uninjured.

The boys were MedFlighted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo., with serious injuries. As of Tuesday, they were still in ICU, but making progress on recovery.
