Fair banks, AK : 52 - Years old North Pole Man was Killed after his car slid and hit by Vehicle on Sunday, December 7th 2014

Alaska State Troopers are investigating a crash that killed a 52-year-old North Pole man northeast of Fairbanks. Troopers say David Haase lost control of his sedan just after 11 p.m. Sunday at Mile 4 Chena Hot Springs Road as he drove east. A witness told troopers Haase was traveling at about 80 mph. His car slid into the westbound lane and was struck by a vehicle driven by 53-year-old James Graham of Clear. Troopers say the road was covered with black ice. Haase was not wearing a seat belt. Steese Volunteer Fire Department responders pronounced Haase dead about 20 minutes after the crash.
