Washington, D.C : Passengers suffer minor injuries after Metrobuses collide in NW Washington on Friday, September 19, 2014
Washington, District of Columbia
Four people were taken to hospitals Friday after a Metrobus rear-ended another Metrobus in Northwest Washington, police said.
All of the injuries appeared minor.
The accident happened about 2:20 p.m. on Florida Avenue near Fifth Street NW, said police spokesman Officer Hugh Carew. Authorities shut down westbound traffic as they investigated.
Metro spokeswoman Caroline Laurin said a bus on the 90 route “made contact” with a bus on the 96 route. The accident caused “minimal damage” to the buses, she said.
