SPOKANE, WA : I-90 crash involved WSP trooper experiencing medical emergency on Monday, 27h May 2024

The car crash that shut down westbound I-90 traffic for several hours on Monday was caused by a medical event.

According to Washington State Patrol (WSP), the crash was caused by a WSP trooper experiencing a medical emergency behind the wheel and striking a Sienna with his WSP vehicle. The collision took place at milepost 286 near the Broadway Avenue Overpass at about 10:30 am.
