The two victims of a fatal wreck involving a school bus in Collins have been identified.

According to Trooper First Class Brent Barfield from Troop J of the Mississippi Highway Patrol, Keannie Love, 20 of Hattiesburg and Lishanay Wilks, 23 of Prentiss were unrestrained and ejected from a Jeep Cherokee after they clipped a Covington County school bus.

Both were pronounced dead on the scene.

Senah Carter, 41 of Prentiss was driving the Jeep Cherokee and was transported to a local hospital. He is listed in critical condition.

Emergency crews responded to the scene in Collins on Highway 84 early Tuesday morning.

One child on the school bus was injured and taken to a local hospital, according to authorities. The student was released from the hospital and returned to school with no injury.

There were 16 kids on the bus, and all involved in the wreck except for one were transferred to other school buses, and are at school at this time, according to Clay Anglin, Covington County superintendent.

Anglin said he wanted to thank all emergency officials who helped with the scene.
