RIO VISTA, CA : CHP investigates fatal crash along Delta highway on Monday, 5th October, 2020

Authorities are investigating the cause of a deadly head-on crash Monday along Highway 160 just outside of Rio Vista.

The crash was reported at approximately 7:20 p.m. about a mile north of the Helen Madere Memorial Bridge, the California Highway Patrol reports.CHP officers coordinated with the Rio Vista Police Department to block traffic along Highway 160 at Highway 12 to isolate the crash scene. Traffic was also blocked from the other direction along Highway 160 near Isleton.

The South Sacramento CHP office is handling the crash investigation along with the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
