Two lanes of I-225 were reopened after being closed for over three hours after a crash caused a fuel spill on Tuesday afternoon.All lanes of southbound I-225 were closed at Yosemite just after 2 p.m. Two lanes of the interstate were reopened just before 4 p.m.A crash on I-225 at Dayton punctured the tank of a semi, according to reports from Colorado State Patrol.Denver Police reported that a semi truck was pouring out diesel fuel on the road.The leak shortly stopped but fuel remained on the highway. Colorado State Patrol reported they requested assistance from CDOT in order to clean up the road.In the backups on the interstate, patrols reported that a hit and run occurred, but the running vehicle was caught in the traffic jam.Authorities warned drivers to expect delays in the area.As of 7 p.m. only two lanes remained open on the interstate.
