PROVIDENCE, RI : 1 dead after crash involving landscaping truck, 2 cars at Atwells Avenue and Valley Street on Saturday, 6th October 2018

A 28-year-old city man has been identified as the victim in a fatal car crash early Monday morning at Atwells Avenue and Valley Street.

Frank Perry Jr. died after his vehicle was hit by a landscaping truck, police said. An adult passenger in his car is in critical condition at Rhode Island Hospital, according to Commander Thomas Verdi.

The 25-year-old driver of the vehicle that hit Perry’s car is in stable condition at Rhode Island Hospital, where he is under police guard pending formal criminal charges, Verdi said. A third vehicle was also involved in the crash.
