Volusia County,FL : 2 dead in crash on I-4 in Daytona Beach on May, Friday 4th 2018

An 85-year-old man and his 80-year-old passenger were killed in a crash early Friday in Volusia County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Troopers said the 85-year-old man was driving eastbound on Interstate 4 in Daytona Beach around 1 a.m. when he hit a construction barrel, sideswiped a guardrail and then crashed into a concrete pillar.

The driver and an 80-year-old woman were killed in the crash.

The names of the people killed have not been released.

Troopers said the crash remains under investigation.
