ATLANTA, GA : 2 dead in multi-vehicle crash on I-75 NB in Cobb County on Saturday, 9th March 2024

All lanes were blocked for hours on I-75 NB near Marietta after a deadly four-vehicle crash early Saturday morning, according to firefighters.

Two people died in the collision, which involved three cars and a tractor-trailer near exit 263 at S Marietta Parkway.

Cobb County police said an Acura ILX driven by Carl Moore, 33, collided with a Chrysler Pacifica around 2:15 a.m. An Audi Q5 then collided with the Acura before a tractor-trailer hit both the Acura and the Audi.

Police said Moore and James Mettle, a passenger in the Acura, were pronounced dead at the scene. Two people in the Audi were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. No one else was injured.
