Two people from Saint George were taken to hospitals for treatment after a crash in Pottawatomie County Wednesday morning, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol report.

Gary Hodges, 62, was driving a 1998 Mercury Mountaineer south at 9:36 a.m. on Kansas Highway 99 when the right front tire left the road. Hodges overcorrected, causing the vehicle to enter a ditch on the west side of the road, the report said. The car rolled and came to a rest on the tires.

A helicopter took Hodges to KU Medical Center for treatment of undisclosed injuries.

Mathias Hodges, 14, was taken to Wamego Hospital for treatment of possible injuries.

The report didn’t list the relationship between the two.

Neither had seat belts on at the time of the accident, the report said.
