COLLETON COUNTY, SC : 1 dead, 3 hurt in crash involving motorcycle on Hwy. 17A on Saturday, 9th March 2024

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash involving a motorcycle in Colleton County.
The crash happened around 2:45 p.m. Saturday on Highway 17A near Trout Lane, approximately five miles north of Cottageville, Cpl. Tyler Tidwell said.
A 2012 Harley-Davidson motorcycle with two people on board was traveling north on Highway 17A when it collided with a southbound 2013 Chevrolet Malibu.
Tidwell said the driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger of the motorcycle was transported to the hospital.
