NORTH CANTON, OH : 64-year-old man dies following fatal Stark County crash on Friday, 2nd February 2024

An investigation is underway after a fatal crash in Stark County. Ohio State Highway Patrol officials say that the crash happened on Friday, Feb. 2, at around 11:53 p.m. on State Route 212 near Bardell Avenue SW in Bethlehem Township. A 2001 Chevrolet Impala was driving westbound on State Route 212 when the driver traveled left of the center while negotiating a curve. The driver overcorrected and traveled off the right side of the road, striking a tree.

The Stark County Coroner's Office pronounced 64-year-old Eric Mallett dead at the scene.
