Dickson, TN : Tanker truck crashed at mile marker 178 in Dickson County on Wednesday morning, Nov 18, 2015

Interstate 40 is shut down in both directions in Dickson County after a tanker truck crash.

The tanker truck is carrying gas, which is leaking near mile marker 178. Drivers are being urged to stay off the interstate.

Eastbound traffic is being diverted to State Route 840 at Exit 176. Westbound traffic is being diverted to Highway 96 at Exit 182.

There is another crash about 1 mile back in the westbound lanes. An 18-wheeler went off the road and is blocking the left lane.

No injuries have been reported in either crash.

The interstate is not expected to reopen until 5 p.m., according to the TDOT website.
