JONESBORO, AR : Mayor involved in minor crash on Red Wolf Blvd on Thursday, 16th August 2018

Jonesboro Mayor Harold Perrin was involved in a minor traffic crash Thursday afternoon on Red Wolf Blvd.

According to Jonesboro police, he was southbound on Red Wolf Blvd in the right-hand lane, stationary at a red light at the Race St. Intersection.

Police say the car behind him, accelerated quickly and struck the rear bumper of the mayor’s vehicle.

The mayor did suffer an injury and was treated by an ambulance. No word on the extent of the injury.

The other driver refused medical treatment and both drivers were released from the scene.

No word on if either driver was cited.
