Cincinnati, OH : Accident on Kellogg Avenue leaves one dead, another in serious condition on Thursday night, September 25, 2014

A motorcyclist died and a passenger was seriously hurt in a two-vehicle crash near the entrance to Coney Island late Thursday, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office. They were not wearing helmets, sheriff's officials said. The crash, coupled with a Dierks Bentley concert at nearby Riverbend, created a traffic nightmare on the city and county's East Side. It shut down eastbound Interstate 275 at Kellogg Avenue, reducing cars to a crawl. Some motorists tried desperately to turn around into heavy traffic near the accident scene. A 2002 Dodge Durango on eastbound Kellogg Avenue at the intersection of Sutton Road turned turn onto Sutton Road. That's when a motorcycle traveling in the opposite direction on Kellogg Avenue came through the intersection, resulting in an angular crash, sheriff's officials said early Friday.
