Columbus, GA : A Columbus man died after the car he was driving collided on Saturday, June 10, 2017

A Columbus man died early Saturday after the car he was driving collided with another on Milgen Road, authorities said.

Jodie Keante Devorce, 23, was pronounced dead at 4 a.m. at the scene of the crash, Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan said. No autopsy was planned in connection with the death.

Bryan said the victim was traveling west when his car crossed the road around 3:36 a.m. and collided with another vehicle. The collision caused the car to flip on its side and partially hurl Devorce from it.

Bryan said about half of the victim’s body was outside of the overturned car after the crash. He wasn’t wearing a seat belt.

The crash is under investigation by the Columbus Police Department.
