A Colorado man sustained injuries from a two-vehicle crash in Saline County Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 27.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred on Interstate 70 when a 2016 GMC truck — driven by Damon R. Austin, 47, of Parker, Colo. — struck the rear of a 2014 Hyundai Sonata when it was attempting to overtake the car.

The Sonata’s 62-year-old driver was not injured, according to the report, and she was able to drive the vehicle from the scene. Austin sustained minor injuries and sought treatment at an area hospital via private vehicle. Both parties were reportedly wearing safety devices and the vehicles sustained only minor damage, the report stated.
