SHELTON, CT : Bridgeport man dead, 2 injured in Route 8 crash in Shelton on Friday, 9th August 2019

Connecticut state police have released further details in the Route 8 crash that occurred Friday evening, which they say killed one Bridgeport man and injured two others.
Jarvis Jones, 20, was pronounced dead at St. Vincent’s Medical Center after a car swerved off the road near Exit 12 and struck a tree, according to police, who added that Jones was a passenger in the vehicle.
The driver suffered life-threatening injuries and a second passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries, police said. Both were transported to the medical center.
Police do not yet know why the car swerved off the road, according to the release. They are investigating the incident, and ask anyone with information to call TFC Horjatschun with Troop I at (203) 393-4200.
