BROCKTON, MA : Both drivers cited in Brockton crash that left man seriously injured on Thursday, 23rd August 2018
A man driving an SUV that caused the Thursday afternoon crash, and the man driving a scooter who was injured, have both been cited by police.
Police and firefighters responded to the area of Warren Avenue and Bouve Avenue, about 2:40 p.m., for a report of a crash involving a motorcycle.
Police say a 49-year-old Hyannis man was driving his scooter through a green light at the intersection when a Ford Expedition, which was driving north on Bouve Avenue, struck the scooter.
The man on the scooter suffered a serious leg injury and was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Deputy Fire Chief Brian Nardelli told The Enterprise on Thursday that the man suffered “extensive bleeding.”
