Rehoboth, DE : Lewes Man Charged with 5th DUI Offense After Crash Knocks Out Power in Rehoboth on Monday, August 25, 2014
Delaware State Police have charged a Lewes man with his fifth DUI after a dump truck fell over in Rehoboth.
It happened about 7:40 p.m. Monday on Old Landing Road. Troopers say 50-year-old Andrew J. Trala was driving a dump truck when he lost control of the vehicle and it fell onto the grassy shoulder.
Police say a trailer the truck was pulling also fell on its side, and the paving equipment it was hauling broke free and struck two utility poles.
Officers say Trala ran away from the scene, but was arrested a short time later. In addition to DUI, he was charged with leaving the scene and other offenses.
