Brevard County, FL : Pennsylvania man killed in a two-vehicle crash at U.S. 1 and Micco Road on Wednesday afternoon, April 1, 2015

A 66-year-old Pennsylvania man is dead after a crash involving his motorcycle in Brevard County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 2 p.m. Wednesday at U.S. Highway 1 and Micco Road.

Troopers said Gerald Schall, of Elderton, Pennsylvania, was traveling south on his 1997 Harley Davidson motorcycle on U.S. 1, approaching Micco Road. Alberto Romero-Lizardi, 39, of Vero Beach, was traveling north on U.S. 1 in his 2000 Ford truck.

As Schall attempted to make a U-turn to go north on U.S. 1, he turned into the direct path of Romero-Lizardi's truck, according to FHP.

The front of the truck struck the right side of the motorcycle. Troopers said Schall was ejected from his motorcycle.

Schall was airlifted to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival, according to FHP. Romero-Lizardi did not suffer any injuries.

The crash remains under investigation, troopers said.
