Fallen tree kills 2 on Highway 2 near Stevens Pass

At least two people were killed after a tree fell onto a suburban on U.S. 2 about 21 miles west of Leavenworth near Stevens Pass, according to Washington State Patrol. The accident around 1:20 p.m. Friday in the eastbound lanes of U.S. 2. WSP said a 58-year-old man and a 56-year-old woman from Bothell were pronounced dead at the scene.
