Appleton, WI : Motorcyclist died after two-vehicle crash on Meade St. at Northland Ave. on Sunday, Sep 13, 2015

A motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Appleton Sunday.

A 46-year-old Appleton man driving a 1998 Suzuki motorcycle died in the accident on Meade St. at Northland Ave. at 5:50 p.m., according to the Wisconsin State Patrol.

A sport utility vehicle driven by a 48-year-old Appleton man traveling east on Northland Ave. turned left to go north on Meade St. when the SUV traveled into the path of the motorcycle. The motorcycle struck the front passenger side of the SUV.

The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
