Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday along U.S. Highway 30 just east of Kennard.
Washington County Sheriff's deputies, the Nebraska State Patrol, Blair Rescue and Kennard Rescue responded to the scene at the intersection of U.S. 30 and County Road P30 just after 4 p.m.
Detective Sgt. Brian Beckman said it appeared a silver SUV heading west on U.S. 30 turned in front of a maroon four-door sedan. The vehicle stuck nearly head-on.
Two people were transported to Memorial Community Hospital & Health System. At least one of the patients was expected to be taken by medical helicopter to an Omaha hospital.
