Augusta, W.V : Man died in a single-truck accident on Ford Hill Road on Suturday, December 25, 2016

An Augusta man died early on Christmas Eve in a single-truck accident on Ford Hill Road.
Shayne Todd Shingleton, 53, was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries sustained in the roll-over accident.
The emergency call came into 911 at 1:42 a.m. Saturday.
West Virginia Stae Police said Shingleton’s 1998 Ford F150 traveled left of center, off the east edge of the road and up an embankment. The vehicle rolled and Shingleton was ejected from the pickup.
Officers attempted CPR at the scene, about a mile south of U.S. 50 near Clarence Beery Road, but were unable to retain a pulse.
Trooper J. M. Padurean and Trooper First Class J. D. Carson, Hampshire County Deputies Phoebe Lahman and Travis Dolly responded along with members of the Augusta Fire, Augusta Rescue and Romney Rescue squads.
