Franconia Township, MN : 52-year-old man Dies after Car Hits Power Pole in Eastern Minnesota on Friday, December 26, 2014

A 52-year-old rural Lindstrom man has died after the car he was driving struck a power pole in Franconia Township.
According to the Chisago County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred around 1:31 a.m. near the intersection of Olinda Trail and Oldfield Avenue.
They say the man, who hasn’t been identified by name, was at the wheel of a car that struck the pole, rolled on its side and came to rest in a ditch with live wires across it.
The Chisago County Sheriff’s Office and the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office are currently investigating the fatal crash.
