QUINCY, IL : A Quincy woman was injured in a crash on Thursday, 29th March 2018

A Quincy woman was injured in a Thursday morning crash at 30th and Locust.

The Adams County Sheriff's Department reported a 2012 Honda Civic driven by Shirley A. Stinnett, 86, of Quincy, was southbound at the intersection at 9:23 a.m. The department said Stinnett failed to yield at the stop sign and struck a 2001 Sterling dump truck driven by Steven Davis, 68, of New London, in the intersection.

Stinnett was taken by Adams County Ambulance to Blessing Hospital with minor injuries. Davis refused medical treatment.

The department said both drivers were wearing seat belts.

Stinnett was cited for failure to yield to stop intersection.

The department was assisted by Adams County Ambulance and Tri-Township Fire Department.
