HENRICO, VA : Chesterfield woman dies after being ejected from vehicle in I-895 crash on Thursday, 25th April 2024

A Chesterfield woman has died after a crash on Pocahontas Parkway (I-895) on Thursday night.

Shortly before 11:30 p.m., Virginia State Police were called to a single-vehicle crash on eastbound I-895 at Wilson Road in Henrico.

VSP says a 2010 Nissan Altima was driving at a high rate of speed when the vehicle ran off the road, struck a tree and flipped over multiple times.

The driver, Lisa A. Coates, 51, was ejected from the car and died at the scene.
