EDGERTON, WI : 1 killed in morning crash on interstate near Edgerton on Thursday, 23rd November 2023

One person died Thursday morning when a semi crashed into a car on the interstate near Edgerton.

Wisconsin State Patrol officials said they first got a call just before 4:15 a.m. saying a disabled car was stuck in the lanes of traffic on I-39 at mile marker 161 near Edgerton.

As troopers were on their way, WSP got another call saying a semi had hit the car.

Authorities said the driver of the car, who was the only person inside the vehicle, died at the scene. WSP didn't identify him, but they said the driver was a 52-year-old man from Madison.

The semi driver was not injured, per WSP.
