Delaware County, IA : 32 students injured in school bus rollover crash near Manchester on Thursday, Oct 1, 2015

About 32 students riding on a school bus that rolled over during a crash near Manchester Thursday were taken to the hospital.

The crash was reported about 2 p.m. some three miles northeast of Manchester near 195th Street and 200th Avenue.

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Department said the students were taken to the Delaware County Regional Medical Center in Manchester for evaluation.

Dr. Kristen Rickey, superintendent of the West Delaware School District, told KCRG that most students sustained minor injuries. Full details have not yet been released about the students' injuries. The driver of the SUV was also taken to a hospital.

State Trooper Jon Stickney said the West Delaware School District bus collided with an SUV, causing the bus to do a full roll and landed back on its tires.

The bus had the right of way and the driver of the SUV failed to yield, Iowa State Patrol said.

The crash remains under investigation.
