Memphis, TN : Pedestrian critical following crash on Lamar Avenue early Wednesday morning, October 19, 2016

A pedestrian is in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle on Lamar Avenue early Wednesday morning.

The crash happened in the 3400 block of Lamar Avenue, just south of American Way, just after 6:30 a.m.

Investigators said the pedestrian was taken to Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

Police said the driver remained at the scene. Officers have not said if the driver will face charges.
