Allentown, PA : An East Stroudsburg man died on Friday, July 14, 2017

An East Stroudsburg man died Friday, five weeks after he had a bicycle accident with a motor vehicle in Monroe County.

Ruben Lugo, 42, died at 5:50 p.m. at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, from injuries he sustained during a June 8 accident in which he collided with a vehicle while he was riding his bike along Winona Falls Road, Middle Smithfield Township, according to Lehigh County Deputy Coroner Raymond Anthony.

Anthony said Lugo died of complications from the spinal injury he sustained in the accident. The manner of death was ruled accidental.
