PORTLAND, OR : 1 dead after crash on Northeast Portland freeway ramp on Thursday, 8th August 2024

Portland police are investigating a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian that happened early Thursday morning, killing the pedestrian. Interstate 84 westbound was closed between the Interstate 205 exit and the 102nd Avenue onramp for several hours during morning rush hour.

According to police, around 5:00 a.m., officers from the North Precinct responded to a crash on the ramp connecting the Interstate 84 westbound to Interstate 205 southbound.
