Opelika,AL : Oklahoma man killed in crash near Auburn on may, sunday 7th 2017

A 20-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash about six miles west of Auburn on Sunday.

Waylon Stipanovic, of Seminole, Oklahoma, was killed when the 2008 Nissan Altima he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree at 11:21 p.m., according to an Alabama Law Enforcement Agency release.Stipanovic was not using a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle on Alabama Highway 14 at mile marker 214. He was transported to Midtown Medical Center in Columbus where he died shortly after.

Preliminary investigation into the incident indicates speed and alcohol were factors in the crash, stated the release. Alabama state troopers continue to investigate the crash, and no further information is available.
