Savannah, GA : Three injured in three-car wreck on Tybee Island on Thursday, 29th March 2018
Traffic on Tybee Island was backed up for hours on Thursday after a three-vehicle wreck that injured three.
Chatham Emergency Services CEO Chuck Kearns was at the scene. Kearns said two people were driven to Memorial Health University Medical Center with serious injuries, and one man in critical condition was airlifted.
CES had to cut the roof off the white Chevy Silverado to get the man out.
U.S. 80 was closed in both directions at Chimney Creek from 5 p.m. to about 9 p.m.
Tybee Island police and the Tybee Island Fire Department initially responded to the scene.
