Baton Rouge, LA : One dead after crash Tuesday night in Pointe Coupee on Tuesday, 24th April 2018

A Jarreau man was pronounced dead Tuesday evening after his car crashed into a tree in Pointe Coupee Parish, State Police spokesman Master Trooper Bryan Lee said.

Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff Bud Torres said the crash occurred around 7 p.m. in the 9200 block of Island Road.

Lee said the driver, Joseph Cador, 58, died after crashing into a tree while traveling northbound on La. 413. Cador was traveling at a high rate of speed when a tire failed on his vehicle.
