Oklahoma City, OK : Three people died in separate state crashes on Monday, July 24, 2017

Three people died Monday in separate state crashes, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.

Russell Gilden, 25, of Moore.

Gilden died about 9:30 p.m. Monday at NW 27 and Shields Boulevard in Moore when the motorcycle he was riding northbound on Shields struck a car that was eastbound on NW 27 in the intersection, police said. The cause is still under investigation, police Sgt. Jeremy Lewis said.

Gilden was dead at the scene. The driver of a car, T'Mara Burgess, 31, and passenger, Tiffany Hicks, 27, were treated and released at the scene for minor injuries.

Harold M. Martin, 83, of Konawa.

Martin died in a collision on the Chickasaw Turnpike in Pontotoc County about 6:20 p.m. Monday about 3 miles northeast of Roff, the patrol reports.

A passenger in the car Martin drove, Donna J. Martin, 73, of Konawa, was flown to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City in serious condition, the patrol reports.

Harold Martin was driving east on the turnpike when he came to a stop sign at State Highway 1 and stopped. Harold Martin then failed to yield and drove into the path of a southbound tractor-trailer driven by Rickey J. Brouillette, 51, of Alexandria, Louisiana. Brouillette was taken to an Ada hospital where he was treated for an injury to his arm. Seat belts were in use by everyone involved, the patrol reports.

Bryon Lee Fischer, 58, of Enid.

Fischer was driving a vehicle described as a service rig about 1 p.m. on U.S. 81 about four miles north of Kingfisher when he was fatally injured in a collision with a tractor-trailer.

The patrol reports Fischer was driving north in the right lane when he tried to turn left and was struck by the tractor-trailer, which was traveling northbound in the left hand lane. The truck driver, Robert Joseph Reese, 60, of Okarche, was taken to a Kingfisher hospital where he was treated for injuries and released.

Seat belts were not in use by Fischer. Reese wore a seat belt.
