Sarasota, FL : Bradenton man killed in crash on SR-70 in Manatee County on Thursday, August 18, 2016
A Manatee County man has died after the vehicle he was driving crossed the center line and struck a tractor-trailer rig on State Road 70.
The Manatee County Sheriff's Office has not released the name of the 33-year-old man pending notification of family.
According to the Sheriff's Office:
The Bradenton man was traveling along 70 east of Post Boulevard when he crossed the center line in a no passing zone at around 6:08 a.m. Thursday. His vehicle, a 1992 Nissan pickup truck, struck the left side of the semi's trailer and stopped on south shoulder of 70.
The semi, driven by Yosbel Rodriguez-Hernandez, 37, of Tampa, stopped facing southwest on the north side 70.
The Bradenton man was taken to Lakewood Ranch Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
