Florida Highway Patrol officials have identified the motorcyclist who died Tuesday morning after a crash in Sewall’s Point.
Michael Ryan Coker, 24, of Fort Pierce, was involved in the crash on Southeast Ocean Boulevard at 8:20 a.m. Tuesday, said FHP spokesman Sgt. Mark Wysocky.
Coker was westbound in the right lane of Ocean Boulevard when another vehicle was waiting to turn left on North River Road, Wysocky said. The vehicle, a Volkswagen Beetle, turned directly in front of Coker, and the front of his motorcycle hit the right side of the Beetle.?
Coker, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene, Wysocky said. The other driver, 51-year-old Traci Bruno of Stuart, wasn’t injured.
The crash remained under investigation late Tuesday.
Just one mile west on the other side of the bridge, another fatal crash involving a left-hand turn occurred Saturday evening in front of Stracuzzi Plaza.
