Orlando, FL : Driver, 20, crashes into Orlando home on May 17th 2014
An Orlando homeowner got quite the surprise early Saturday morning.
Carlos Ortiz-Vega was coming downstairs to lock up for the night and head to bed.
That's when he heard what he thought was a bomb. It was actually a car crashing into the side of his house.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers said the 20-year-old driver was going the wrong way down a one-way street, blew through a roundabout and went right into the side of the Orange County home.
Ortiz-Vega said the driver didn't seem too coherent when he checked to see if she was OK. The driver was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center.
"As you can see, the damage is really bad," Ortiz-Vega said. "Luckily, no one was here at that time. If not, one of my family members probably would have gotten hurt."
