WESTBROOK, CT : Man dies in Westbrook accident on Route 145 on Saturday, 7th March, 2020

A Monroe man was killed after an a crash between his vehicle and a tractor trailer on Saturday night, according to Connecticut State Police.
Patrick John Mezick, 29, was delcared dead on arrival, police said in an accident report. Police said the accident happened on Route 145 in Westbrook just after 8:00 p.m.
Mezick was driving a sedan in the southbound lane when, for an unknown reason, he struck the trailer portion of a tractor trailer heading in the opposite direction. The tractor trailer was driven by Robert Cohen of Bridgeport, who did not sustain any injuries from the accident.
