Grand Haven,MI : Holland man hurt in crash at Port Sheldon Street on March, Monday 26th 2018
A Holland man was injured in a two-car crash early Monday afternoon at the intersection of U.S. 31 and Port Sheldon Street.
Wilfredo Perez said he was blinded by the sun’s glare when he drove through a red light at the intersection, according to Sgt. Steve Austin of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
Perez, 30, was driving a 2009 Buick Enclave south on the highway when he traveled through the red light at about 12:20 p.m.
His car struck a 2011 Buick Lacrosse driven by Heidi Householder, 49, also of Holland. Householder was traveling west on Port Sheldon with a green light, Austin said.
