Petoskey,MI : Two injured in Fall Park Road crash on June, Wednesday 7th 2017
Two people were injured in a two-vehicle traffic crash near Boyne City Wednesday.
In a news release issued Thursday, Charlevoix County Sheriff Chuck Vondra reports that deputies from his office responded to a two-vehicle crash with victims trapped in the vehicle at 9:39 p.m. Wednesday.
Authorities said the crash happened when Rodney Boulanger, 77, of Midland turned in front of an oncoming truck on Fall Park Road at Crozier Road in Wilson Township. Barbara Hornbook, 49, of Boyne City was a passenger in Boulanger’s vehicle. Boulanger and Hornbeck were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash and air bags deployed, deputies said.
Deputies said Gary Lapeer, 58, who was traveling north on Fall Park Road at the time of the crash, reported that Boulanger’s vehicle turned left in front of him and he was unable to avoid collision. Lapeer was wearing his seatbelt and vehicle air bags deployed in his vehicle as well.
Both Boulanger and Lapeer were transported to McLaren Northern Michigan hospital for treatment.
Assisting at the scene were the Boyne City Police, Boyne City Ambulance, Boyne City Fire Department and Boyne Valley Ambulance.
