HALFWAY, MD : Hagerstown man, son hurt in I-70 crash on Monday, 2nd December, 2019
A Hagerstown man and his son were taken to regional hospitals Monday night after the SUV they were in struck a concrete culvert along Interstate 70, Maryland State Police said.
A 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe was heading west on I-70, near Bower Avenue, around 10:30 p.m. Monday when it went into the median and hit a concrete culvert, according to evidence and witness statements, police said. The SUV was heavily damaged.
The driver, Gregory Lee Ehabe, 27, of Hagerstown, and his juvenile son were taken to Meritus Medical Center for treatment of their injuries, according to a state police news release issued Tuesday afternoon.
The juvenile was later flown to Children's National Hospital in Washington, D.C., the release states. His condition was not available.
The father was in good condition at Meritus late Tuesday afternoon, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
