Pawlet, VT : Bicyclist died in hit-and-run crash on Route 30 in Rutland County on Monday, Sep 7, 2015

Police say a bicyclist was killed after being hit by a driver who fell asleep at the wheel.

It happened just after 3:30 p.m. Monday on Route 30.

Police say Kathleen King, 21, of Wells, fell asleep, crossed the center line and hit Robert Agne, 54, of Granville, New York. Agne, a veterinarian, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are still investigating whether any charges will be filed.

King was treated for minor injuries.
