Laurens,SC : Coroner identifies driver killed after I-385 crash in Laurens Co.on June, Thursday 15th 2017
Troopers said one person has died after a tractor trailer struck a car on I-385 in Laurens County late Thursday night.
The crash happened on the southbound side of the interstate near mile marker 12.
Troopers said a 2002 Buick LeSabre was stopped in the right lane and was hit from the rear by a 2015 tractor trailer.
The impact knocked the car off the road.
Troopers said the driver of the car was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene. The coroner identified the victim as 60-year-old Sam Michael Bramlett of Laurens. He suffered blunt force trauma.
The coroner said Bramlett was on his way from work.
The truck driver was not hurt.
Troopers said the crash remains under investigation.
