Bolivar County , MS : Two dead and Three injured in Car Accident after two cars collided in Bolivar County at the intersection of Highway 61 on Saturday afternoon ,April 4th 2015

Two Memphis women died in a bad car accident in Mississippi on Saturday afternoon.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol says the two cars collided in Bolivar County at the intersection of Highway 61 and Mound Bayou Road.

All five people in the two cars were from Memphis. The driver and both passengers of one car were airlifted to the hospital.

One of those passengers, Gwendolyn Flowers, died at the hospital from her injuries.

The passenger of the second car, 53-year-old Sharon Dent, died on the scene.

There is no word on the conditions of the other victims at this time.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is currently investigating this crash.
