LAKOTA, ND : Two-vehicle crash near Lakota on Sunday, 2nd September 2018

One man is in the hospital after being involved in a two-vehicle crash near Lakota at 3:53 p.m. on Sunday, September 2nd.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Hunter Hanson, 21, of New Rockford, was driving west on Highway 2 when he hit the rear of another vehicle that was slowly turning into their driveway.The report says Hanson was distracted by an electronic device.

Hanson was driving a 2017 f-350, pulling an enclosed trailer, and hit a 2017 GMC pickup with 4 total occupants.

After striking the GMC, Hanson's f-350 went into the ditch and rolled onto its top.

Hanson was taken to St. Alexius hospital in Devils Lake where his injuries were treated. He has been released.
